The Roue-Cool adventure began in October 2023. It was born from a personal event that its founders had to face.

Their little boy, Lyam, found himself in a wheelchair overnight. Diagnosed with bone cancer, his illness led him to spend time in numerous institutions (schools, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, etc.).

Through these experiences, Roue-Cool realized that the facilities in the school environment were not adapted to children with reduced mobility. Although schools address this problem, they unfortunately lack the funding or resources necessary to support such projects.

Thus, the Roue-Cool adventure begins with four pillars:

1. Understanding the needs of schools.
2. Proposing solutions in partnership with expert companies.
3. Negotiating project prices.
4. Finding solutions to finance these projects.

For Roue-Cool, the primary school stage is crucial in developing a child’s self-confidence. With this confidence, it is possible to reach new heights in life. Unfortunately, this stage can also have a disastrous impact on self-esteem, and therefore on the child’s future. The risks associated with isolation are of particular concern to us.

We have observed that children often have difficulty integrating. This stems from a feeling of dependence to accomplish even small tasks, as well as from the general feeling of being dependent on others (restrictions on movement during field trips, trips to the park or swimming pool, stairs to access places like the theater or cinema, etc.).

Our mission is therefore simple: to ensure that every child has the same positive experience during their time in primary school, because this stage lays the foundation for their future success. And as Stephen Hawking quoted: ” Disability need not be an obstacle to success.”
